Rooibos: The Caffeine-Free Red Infusion Made for Evenings

Rooibos is not a tea: it is a South African shrub (Aspalathus linearis) whose leaves, once fermented, give a reddish, sweet and naturally caffeine-free infusion. It is not decaffeinated - it never had caffeine to begin with.
Why we love it as a powder
Just as with matcha, we grind our rooibos fine so the whole leaf goes into the drink: more body, more colour and a creamy latte in one minute. Our Rooibos Premium comes from South Africa, and you can also get it in a vanilla version.
The evening ritual
Matcha in the morning, rooibos when the sun goes down: the same gesture (whisk, froth, pour), zero caffeine. If chai is your thing, the caffeine-free Masala Chai is built on a rooibos base with cinnamon, cardamom and ginger - all the flavour of chai, ready for the night.
How to make it
- 2 g of rooibos powder in a finger of warm water; whisk until lump-free.
- Top up with 180 ml of hot frothed milk (or cold milk with ice).
- Cinnamon on top, blanket on lap.
Sweet by nature, no added sugar, vegan and gluten-free - like everything we make. Discover the caffeine-free collection.
