Golden Latte: The Turmeric Classic with No Added Sugar

The golden latte (or golden milk) is probably the most photogenic drink in the classic repertoire. Our version comes out of a single tin: the Yellow Matcha Blend, with turmeric, black pepper, kabocha pumpkin and chai spices - no added sugar (the sweetness comes from lucuma).
Ingredients (1 cup)
- 2 g (one teaspoon) of Yellow Matcha Blend
- 200 ml of the milk of your choice (oat and coconut are gorgeous here)
- Optional: an extra pinch of cinnamon to finish
Hot (the classic)
- Blend the powder into a finger of warm water, whisking to a smooth, lump-free paste.
- Heat and froth the milk (without letting it boil).
- Pour the milk over the golden base, dust with cinnamon, done.
Iced (the summer version)
- Same concentrated base: 2 g + 50 ml of water, well whisked.
- Fill the glass with ice, add the cold milk and pour the gold on top - the gradient is the photo.
The pepper trick
Our blend already includes it: black pepper is turmeric's traditional companion in the kitchen, and it brings that warm little edge that makes a golden latte taste like a hug.
